About Us

Educational Renovation is a consulting and learning design practice serving educators, institutions, and small businesses. This page outlines the purpose, commitments, and leadership that govern the work.

Mission

Educational Renovation provides clarity-driven consulting and learning design for educators, institutions, and small businesses—aligning purpose, formation, and instructional structure.

Vision

A future where learning design in schools, institutions, and businesses is coherent, purposeful, and structurally sound—forming people well and lasting over time.

Orientation

Educational Renovation is shaped by a simple conviction: before learning is built or optimized, it must be rightly oriented.A lighthouse does not direct movement or promise safety at sea. It provides a fixed point of reference—clarity of position—so others can navigate responsibly. In the same way, Educational Renovation exists to offer orientation before action, helping educators, institutions, and small businesses align purpose, formation, and instructional structure before pursuing change. This work is not about speed or novelty. It is about steadiness, discernment, and faithful design over time.

Guiding Commitments:

Justice. Mercy. Humility.

(These are not slogans. They are constraints.)

Justice
We seek what is rightly ordered.
Justice in our work means naming misalignment honestly—between purpose and practice, mission and structure, claims and outcomes—so learning does not quietly deform those it is meant to serve.

Mercy
We design for real human limits.
Mercy means our learning solutions account for fatigue, formation over time, and the complexity of real lives—resisting speed, excess, and performative productivity.

Humility
We work as stewards, not saviors.
Humility governs our posture: we listen before we design, clarify before we change, and recognize that no structure—educational or organizational—can replace faithfulness, wisdom, or time.

Educational Renovation exists for those who want to build learning that is honest, humane, and ordered—before it is optimized.

Leadership

Educational Renovation is led by Theresa Willen, an educator, writer, and learning designer working at the intersection of education, formation, and institutional identity. Her work spans K–12 education, higher education, and small-business learning design, helping organizations clarify purpose and translate it into coherent, humane learning structures that endure over time.
